Fawning Over this Family Home in Livingston, NJ

For this young couple with two little boys, practicality, livability, and style were key. When they moved into their new home, it was very dated and in need of a serious refresh. In addition to the boy’s bedroom, we revitalized the dining room with chic, mid-century inspired furniture and custom millwork paneling in a soothing blue-gray tone. The newly designed and installed millwork paneling in the entryway was painted white to provide a crisp contrast against the moody color of the dining room. We also updated the lighting and stairs to take first impressions of this home to new heights. In the family room, green-tinted charcoal built-ins and misty gray tiles and marble upgraded the fireplace surround. PLD also stained the floors for a rich, dark, feel. The biggest transformation took place in the basement which was transformed into a multi-use playroom, guestroom, and office suite with a renovated bathroom. Far from its humble, outdated beginnings, this entire home now has a cool and classic vibe perfect for a busy family.
